Christmas Tree Pairs Trophy 2025

This year, the Christmas Tree Pairs Trophy had a new format. The experiment was to have each pair playing together on the same pitch.

One player played outfield and the other was the goalie and took all the free-kicks, corners and throw-ins (and the positional flicks for these).

The players then swapped roles as half-time.

Also, players agreed to play the respective stronger/less experienced player on the other team.

With 16 participants we had 8 teams, who, in the social spirit of this event played shortened games of 8 minutes each way, so that we could play a round (red) robin event.
