Subbuteo Neighbourhood
The debut single from The OldSubbuteo Town Band. Inspired by Space's 1996 track 'Neighbourhood', it features samples from the one and only Jim Westwood (ForFoxSake), and the legendary Teofilo Garagnas. Any donations would be gratefully received. We're hoping to host more Subbuteo tournaments for people living with an acquired brain injury in the future, and any support would be most welcome.
Lyrics...
Who lives in a town like this?
“Oh – that’s a great save!” (ForFoxSake)
----
Down at number twenty there’s a man called Jim
He’s played a solo league since he don’t know when
Starts when he gets home at a quarter to six
He must by now have had eleven million flicks.
Oh Oh if you find the time please come and stay a while
In my Subbuteo neighbourhood.
----
At number sixty-three they’ll always open their gates
To anyone who’s got a box of heavyweights
Greeted at Malpenza by the legendary Fabio
You eat, you play, you talk Inglese-Italiano-oh
If you find the time please come and stay a while
In my Subbuteo neighbourhood
My OldSubbuteo neighbourhood
My Subbuteo neighbourhood
----
Who lives in a town like this?
Who lives in a town like this?
They’re ready for you down at Cavendish Square
The champion's a woman, plays without a care.
Italian ragazzi meet in Roma and Como
In Reggio, Mestre. Milan and Livorno-oh
If you find the time please come and stay a while
In my Subbuteo neighbourhood
My OldSubbuteo neighbourhood
My Subbuteo neighbourhood
----
“If you like football, you have to accept football.
The joy and the sadness” (Subbuteofilo Garagnas)
----
There’s been a few who’ve found that their time has come.
Had to move on up to the eternal home.
We remember the green light that shone in their eyes
One day we’ll play again - In the sky
Oh Oh if you find the time please come and stay a while
In my Subbuteo neighbourhood
My OldSubbuteo neighbourhood
My Subbuteo neighbourhood
My OldSubbuteo neighbourhood
My Subbuteo neighbourhood
My OldSubbuteo neighbourhood
